In this update, I’m going to talk about what’s new on the blog.

So, in this blog, I was just talking about how to learn English, new methods to learn English, how to speak English better, how to improve your English skills…etc

Now, I change the idea a little bit, I keep talking about this ideas on how to learn to speak English (because they’re very important) and I add other kinds of topics.

How to succeed with English?

The key to success for most fields of life is to keep trying, so if you want to speak English like an American you should keep trying until your last breath!

Never stop, go on learning, and go on listening, it’s the key to your success!

Students who use successful methods and fail are two kinds:

They are negative people; they are always looking for the problems, not the solutions

Or they didn’t keep trying; they stopped at the half of their adventure!

In fact, learning English is an adventure, be positive to speak English, focus on the solutions, not the problems.

Whenever you have a problem, think about its solution, don’t think about the problem itself!

That is the key to English speaking.

Positive people always succeed, but negative people always fail! That’s easy enough to know which kind of people you should be!

Be positive! Be positive!

Even if there is no problem, negative people try to look for it! They are crazy and stupid, they never learn to speak English.

Speaking English is easy but only if you are ready for it, ready to find a solution, ready to spend an adventure. That’s it!

New people, who want to learn to speak English, always think about their accent, they would like to choose an accent but they don’t know which one.
The accent is the last thing you should worry about, it’s less important, at first you should begin to worry about speaking, not about you accent.
Once your level of English improves, and you can understand native speakers, and they can understand you, you can think about an accent to choose.
At first you should just have a clear accent, but later if you want to improve you speaking skills, think about your accent.
To help you there is a book about accent which is the my favorite, it is called “American accent training”
“American accent training” is a book with 5 CD, it can help you to have an American accent.
If you would like to have “American accent training”, just enter in google: “American accent training” with the quotations and you’ll find it.
“American accent training” is known as the best book that helps you sound American.
“American accent training” focuses especially on the intonation, not on individual words and that’s what makes it powerful.
I recommend “American accent training” for you because I’ve already recommended it to more than one of my students and their accent improved.
There is only one inconvenient, “American accent training” is boring; you should finish it as soon as possible, and once you finish it repeat it from the beginning. Repeat reading “American accent training” as much as you can to improve more and more.
“American accent training” is good for you for speaking, but when you listen you should listen to only one accent at the beginning or even one person, and once you become comfortable you can listen to different accents in order to know as many accents as possible.

Vocabulary without memorizing

In the previous article, I talked about learning vocabulary without trying to memorize it. In this article, we are going to explain more this idea.
Now, failing methods are known, because students have tried them, which is not know is the successful method, only few students know it.
While there are a lot of failing methods, there is only ONE successful method, if you try to modify it, it becomes less successful, so let’s talk about it now:
Students who write a list full of new words, and try to memorize every word, are doing nothing!
Actually, even if they could remember all of the words, they couldn’t use them is a real conversation. When they take a writing test, maybe it’s true to answer correctly, but in a real conversation, you don’t have time to think about your list. That’s the difference between written English and spoken English.
So, what should you do to use new vocabulary in a real conversation?
The question is not what to do to use them, but rather: how do you do to learn them correctly?
If you would like to learn vocabulary and to use it in a real conversation, you should notice that the word “DEEP” is the answer!
You should learn vocabulary deeply say that you learned it, it’s not enough to hear or to see a word just one time and then try to memorize it. To learn it deeply you should at least hear the word or read it 30 times or 50 times or even 100 times or more!!! That’s deep learning.
If you find one word in more than 5 phrases, and to repeat those phrases for 100 times, it’s a given that you will learn this word deeply into your brain, you will never forget it!
How can you learn deeply?
Easy! I’m gonna give you some suggestions:
- You should have a lot of repetitions
- If you’re reading, read the same paragraph 50 times or more
- If you’re listening, listen more than 50 times
The best way to learn deeply is to listen to the same person, or to read from the same person, because each person has their own favorite vocabulary, and they use it everyday!
For example, read my articles and you will notice that I only use few words not more than 500 or 1000 and I repeat them always.
Another thing is to read novels, because novels are long, and you will find words more than one time!

The Power Of Reading And Listening At The Same Time

Today, I’m going to talk about one of the best methods to learn to speak English in a fast way, I’m gonna talk about reading and listening in the same time.
Students always think that complicated, boring and difficult methods are the best to learn English, the always think that they must suffer to learn, they always say: “no pain, no gain”.
This has no meaning and has no relation with learning English or any other language!
In fact, easy methods are the best and that’s our topic today:
The research shows that when the student learns with easy methods and is having fun, he will learn 5 times faster than when he is getting bored and using hard methods!
Students always want to take tests, but in fact tests are one of the reasons they can’t speak.
When you are listening to English, always listen to understandable and easy English, it’s useless to listen to hard English when you can’t understand more than 90%.
Yes, you should understand more than 90% of what you are listening to, or it’s useless.
Also, when you listen you should read as you listen, it’s very powerful, and I’m going to illustrate this point:
I said that tests are horrible, and when a student is listening to difficult English without reading, he is talking tests because he tries to understand everything, but he can only understand less than 90% or even less!
When he find a word he can’t understand, he won’t be able to hear it correctly, he won’t know if It’s one word or two words or even more, he won’t be able to memorize it, that’s why he needs the spelling!
And also, if he doesn’t understand more than 10%, and even if he can hear the words correctly, he won’t be able to memorize more than 10% it’s a lot. And even if he memorizes them, he will forget them quickly!
That’s why I encourage my students to listen to easy English where they can understand more than 90% and read at the same time, even if it’s too easy.
By listening and reading the new words (10%), you will be able to memorize them easily and in a powerful way.
Because to memorize something, you need to act with it the maximum: for example, if you find a new word, you must hear it, see it, feel it, speak it, but never think about it or try to memorize it; all is gonna be done intuitively.
How can I have a lot of vocabulary without trying to memorize words?? I would like to speak, so I need more vocabulary! What should I do??
